Frank Caprio is a former managing partner of the Huntsville office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property law and assists clients in the protection and use of their intellectual property rights, and in the litigation of various technology-related disputes involving patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and computer issues. Frank has been recognized consistently in The Best Lawyers in America® for Copyright Law, Intellectual Property and Patent Law, Trade Secrets Law and Trademark Law.
He is a retired Naval Flight Officer and Mission Commander having served in active duty and reserve squadrons flying the Lockheed P-3 Orion Aircraft, conducting Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Missions. He also worked as an engineer providing technical analysis and program management to projects that included missile programs, warhead testing, and six-degree of freedom simulations.
Frank regularly speaks on IP issues to business and legal associations, and has held leadership positions in local and state bar associations. He is active in community service and has served as a board member for Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Huntsville YMCA, Biztech (a business incubator), Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Huntsville Emergency Management Agency, and Vanderbilt University Navy ROTC Alumni Board.
