The Vertical Merger Guidelines have been withdrawn by the FTC, and the Horizontal

Merger Guidelines may be next. Approaches to bank and pharmaceutical mergers are under scrutiny. The FTC is reconsidering a wide swath of procedures: everything from PNO interpretations, to timing agreements, to remedies. Jurisdictions around the world are getting interested in smaller deals.
