Stephanie Gaston Quoted in USA Today on Vaccine and Testing Mandates
USA Today
Bradley attorney Stephanie Gaston was quoted in USA Today on the Biden administration’s new vaccine and testing mandates. Last week, President Biden signed a measure requiring employees of businesses with 100 or more workers be either vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo weekly testing if they aren't working from home.
Although it’s been called a vaccine mandate, some of Gaston’s clients see the mandate not only as a vaccine mandate, but also as a testing mandate.
Gaston told USA Today, “The employer might decide, ‘I don’t want my employees to have to get the vaccine so instead I’m going to allow them to produce a weekly negative test.”
However, who will pay for those tests remain a huge and open question. "I think we'll see pushback if they have to pay," Gaston said of employers.
The complete article, “Joe Biden’s plan to combat COVID-19 is more than a vaccine mandate. It’s a testing mandate, too,” first appeared in USA Today on September 15, 2021. (login required)
