Martha Roby Interviewed by CBS 42 on Serving in U.S. Congress

Bradley senior advisor Martha Roby was interviewed on CBS 42 about her time serving in the U.S. Congress.

As former state representative, Roby is one of only three women to represent Alabama in the U.S. Congress. Roby, along with Rep. Terri Sewell, and sat down with CBS 42 and discussed their time serving the state in the nation’s capital.

Friends across party lines, Roby said their bond truly depicts the relationships of Congress. 

“We always joked that we from time to time would go to dinner together and spend the first few minutes talking about whatever the policy issue was of the day and the rest of the dinner talking about our families and just enjoy being friends. And I think that’s something that, you know, the public doesn’t really get to see,” Roby said.

Roby says you can do anything you put your mind to.

“You can be anything you want to be,” Roby said. “And please, we’re counting on you, the next generation of leaders, not only to represent Alabama, but the United States of America.”
