Bradley is pleased to announce that associate Anna-Bryce Hobson has been selected to the 2023 list of North Carolina Lawyers Weekly “Icons and Phenoms of Law.”
The “Icons and Phenoms of Law” awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of the region’s most accomplished and promising legal professionals. The Phenoms category is dedicated to rising stars who have already established themselves as standouts in their first 10 years of practice, demonstrating their promise as future leaders through their ambition and accomplishments, as well as their dedication to the practice of law.
Ms. Hobson is a member of Bradley’s Construction Practice Group and represents general contractors and subcontractors engaged in a variety of construction projects, focusing on public and private commercial construction disputes. She also assists clients through the process of drafting and negotiating their construction contracts. Ms. Hobson previously served as a law clerk for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina and draws on her understanding of bankruptcy law to counsel her clients on the unique bankruptcy issues that construction industry professionals face on projects, including collections actions. She is a frequent presenter on the treatment of construction claims under the Bankruptcy Code and the traits of construction claims once they enter the purview of the bankruptcy court.
A graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Law, Ms. Hobson earned her B.S. from New York University and studied Mandarin and East Asian Studies at Guizhou University in Guizhou, China. She is recognized in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Construction Law and Litigation – Construction and was also named to the 2023 Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite in the “Young Guns” category.
