The Daily Report released an article highlighting the firm’s Atlanta office growth since its opening last May. Bradley was Atlanta’s top firm for partner hiring in 2023 when it opened its newest office with 15 lateral partners at one time from seven Am Law 200 and mid-sized law firms.
One analysis found that half of those moved at one time to establish Bradley’s Atlanta office while the other half moved later in the year as the office continued to grow.
Bradley’s growth in Atlanta has included attorneys from Balch & Bingham; Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein; Womble Bond Dickinson; Akerman; Barnes & Thornburg; and Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs. Among the firm’s Atlanta founding partners were former Akerman Atlanta managing partner and healthcare lawyer Sidney Welch and former Parker Hudson managing partner Wayne Hillis.
Other Bradley attorneys joining from Parker Hudson include litigation partners Bill Holley, Ron Coleman, Nancy Baughan, Justin Arpey, Scott Zweigel and Justin Gunter, and labor and employment partner Paul Barsness. Real estate partner Laura Hester joined from Womble Bond while corporate and securities lawyer Steve Opler came from Barnes & Thornburg; litigation partner Chris Anulewicz joined from Balch & Bingham; corporate and securities lawyer Jeff Cunningham came from Parker Poe; and Deborah Cazan and John Spangler III from Alston & Bird as partners in the Construction Practice Group.
