Bradley Partner Jason R. Bushby Elected Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys
Bradley is pleased to announce that partner Jason R. Bushby has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA). The 2024 class of Fellows will be inducted at the ACMA’s Annual Meeting in September in Chicago.
Formed in 1974, ACMA is a professional group of experienced real estate finance attorneys across North America dedicated to developing professional excellence, trustworthy referral networks and lasting collegial relationships. ACMA is committed to giving back to the profession, improving and reforming laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions, and raising the level of professionalism of lawyers in the industry.
Mr. Bushby provides regulatory compliance, examination, enforcement and litigation assistance to a range of financial service clients across the country. He regularly assists financial services entities to ensure their operations are compliant with applicable federal and state consumer financial laws. Mr. Bushby advises clients on compliance matters related to a host of federal and state regulations, including TILA, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA and the FDCPA and, indeed, is considered a thought leader in the industry with respect to the mortgage origination and servicing regulations issued by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Additionally, he has advised some of the nation’s largest financial institutions in all aspects of their CFPB and other regulatory examinations and also defends clients in investigations and enforcement actions initiated by the CFPB and other regulators.
Mr. Bushby serves as counsel to the American Bankers Association and is a frequent author and speaker on regulatory compliance issues. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Manufactured Housing Institute and serves on the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law. Mr. Bushby is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA and Benchmark Litigation. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law and earned his B.B.A., cum laude, from the University of Mississippi.
