Anne Marie Seibel Elected New Member of The American Law Institute
Bradley is pleased to announce that Birmingham partner Anne Marie Seibel has been elected as a member of The American Law Institute (ALI), the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law.
A member of Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group, Ms. Seibel regularly coordinates and oversees the moving parts in multi-forum or multi-plaintiffs high-stakes litigation, partnering with her clients to approach the challenges of their case in efficient and creative ways. She has led trials in a variety of venues, including New Hampshire state court, Alabama state and federal courts, AAA arbitrations, and the Tribal Court of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Within the firm, Ms. Seibel serves as co-chair of Bradley’s Inclusion and Diversity Committee and is a co-founder of the firm’s Women’s Initiative.
Ms. Seibel serves as chair of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section, overseeing the programming and services provided to the Section’s membership across the country. She has served on the Section’s Council for several years and has also served as co-chair of the Membership and Marketing Committee, co-chair of the Regional CLE Programs Committee, liaison to the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession, and co-chair of the Woman Advocate Committee. Ms. Seibel is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and was named a recipient of Corporate Counsel Magazine’s prestigious “Women, Influence & Power in Law” award in 2019. She is listed in Benchmark Litigation as a Litigation Star and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Commercial Litigation since 2014.
The ALI is comprised of approximately 3,000 eminent lawyers, judges, and law professors from throughout the U.S. and abroad. Members are selected based on professional achievement and demonstrated interest in law. The election of an individual begins with a confidential nomination by an ALI member that is supported by two additional ALI members. Members propose individuals who demonstrate excellence in the law, are of high character, will contribute to the work of the Institute, and are committed to its mission.
