Bradley is pleased to announce that David M. Cayce has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a partner in the Economic Development & Renewable Energy Practice Group. He was previously a partner with a boutique law firm in Atlanta focused on the electric power industry.

“David has more than two decades of experience in energy and corporate law, adding substantial and strategic depth to Bradley’s Economic Development and Renewable Energy practice, which is a priority for us nationally and in Atlanta,” said Bradley Atlanta Office Managing Partner Sidney S. Welch. “David’s national practice and his understanding of the landscape of energy programs in Georgia and nationally, paired with his corporate experience, are an exceptional fit with our team. His addition provides natural synergies within the renewable energy, corporate, real estate, and construction teams.”

Mr. Cayce assists clients with a variety of commercial transactions throughout the life span of electricity generation projects, including solar, wind, and other renewable and conventional energy sources. He has experience with guiding clients through project M&A, early-stage development activities, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, as well as debt and equity project finance. Mr. Cayce regularly works with developers and IPPs on renewable energy projects, with experience leading transactions for gas-fired power plants and nuclear generation facilities. He has also structured joint ventures and co-ownership arrangements and led numerous other corporate transactions, including private equity and venture capital investments.

Prior to earning his J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Mr. Cayce served in the United States Navy as a naval officer and naval aviator. He is an active member of the state bars of Georgia and Texas, and is a past chair of the Georgia Bar’s Business Law Section’s Legal Opinions Committee. Mr. Cayce received his B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and, as an avid Domer, he is a member of the Notre Dame Club of Atlanta.
