Kimberly B. Martin and John D. Watson Honored by Alabama State Bar
Bradley is pleased to announce that Kimberly B. Martin and John D. Watson were recognized by the Alabama State Bar (ASB). Ms. Martin was presented with the Susan B. Livingston Award, and Mr. Watson was honored with the J. Anthony “Tony” McLain Professionalism Award at the ASB’s 2024 Annual Meeting held June 26-29.
The Susan B. Livingston Award, presented by the ASB’s Women’s Section, recognizes a woman each year who has demonstrated a continual dedication to mentoring throughout her career while exhibiting a commitment to her community through civic and bar activities. Ms. Martin, a partner in Bradley’s Huntsville office, focuses her practice on general litigation with an emphasis on medical device and pharmaceutical products liability litigation, as well as white collar matters and False Claims Act litigation. She is an active member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) and served two consecutive terms as chair of the Corporate Compliance and Government Enforcement Action Committee. Ms. Martin is also active with the Defense Research Institute and the Alabama State Bar and serves on the Board of the Appleseed Center for Law and Justice.
The J. Anthony “Tony” McLain Professionalism Award recognizes outstanding, long-term and distinguished service in the advancement of professionalism by members of the Alabama State Bar. Recipients are selected by a five-member committee, which makes a recommendation to the Board of Bar Commissioners for approval. Mr. Watson, a retired partner and general counsel emeritus, joined Bradley in 1984. He focused his practice on general litigation, handling a variety of complex cases in both state and federal courts.
The Alabama State Bar, established in 1923, is dedicated to promoting the professional responsibility and competence of its members, improving the administration of justice, and increasing the public understanding of and respect for the law.
