Bradley Adds Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Jack Harrington to Banking & Financial Services and Government Enforcement Teams

Bradley is pleased to announce that former Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) Jonathan “Jack” Harrington* has joined the firm’s Birmingham office as a partner in the Banking & Financial Services and Government Enforcement & Investigations practice groups.

Mr. Harrington represents clients facing complex criminal, regulatory, enforcement, and reputational matters with a particular focus on the financial services, defense, and technology sectors. In his role as an AUSA in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in Birmingham, he investigated and prosecuted complex fraud, money laundering, trade sanctions, cybercrime, and national security matters in partnership with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies. His work included coordinating and managing Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and Anti-Money Laundering/Bank Secrecy Act (AML/BSA) matters and liaising with the financial services community to identify criminal activity worthy of federal prosecution.

Prior to his time with the Department of Justice, Mr. Harrington served as a senior associate in the Washington, D.C., and New York offices of a large, international law firm where he advised Fortune 100 clients on legal, national security, and regulatory matters affecting cross-border business development, financial services, and technology initiatives, including anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and foreign investment (CFIUS) compliance. 

Mr. Harrington is an Afghanistan veteran and intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve currently supporting U.S. European Command (EUCOM). He holds an active Top Secret-SCI security clearance. 

Mr. Harrington earned his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he served as the editor-in-chief of the Yale Journal of International Law. He received an M.A. in International Security Studies from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Services and a B.A. from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, graduating with first-class honors.
