Mansfield Rule Certified 2023-2024 Badge

The Mansfield Rule is a year-long structured certification process designed to ensure all talent at participating law firms has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership. To maintain its effectiveness, the standards for certification continue to evolve each year based on data-backed insights, but the primary focus remains on opening the door wider so that opportunities for advancement are inclusive for everyone.

“Mansfield certification is an important part of implementing change, which will provide opportunities for advancement that are inclusive of everyone,” said Bradley Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Jonathan M. Skeeters.

“We are proud of our continued Mansfield certification and are grateful that such an impactful process has been made available to the legal industry. It has been a rewarding exercise in understanding where we have been as a firm and where we can grow when it comes to our core value of ensuring a diverse, collegial and respectful work environment,” said Bradley Partner and Director of Inclusion and Diversity George Medlock.

Mansfield is focused on broadening the pipeline of talent, including those historically underrepresented in the legal profession, to facilitate transparent pathways to leadership and ensure consistency across offices and practice groups. Law firms are asked to recommit each year to the Mansfield process, which increases transparency and intentionality in the leadership and advancement processes through the principals of accountability and knowledge sharing.
