Corporate Partner Kris Kemp Joins Bradley from Bass Berry in Nashville
Bradley is pleased to announce that Kris Kemp has joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group in Nashville.
With over 700 attorneys across 13 offices and more than 160 attorneys in Nashville, Bradley has been focused on strategic growth as it meets the needs of business clients across a variety of industries, particularly in the expanding healthcare industry. With the recent addition of healthcare transaction partner Brian Browder in October, Mr. Kemp is another key hire in bolstering the firm’s transactional practice.

Mr. Kemp concentrates his practice on advising public and private companies on strategic merger and acquisition transactions, securities offerings, and compliance matters. He represents a large number of clients within the healthcare sector, providing specialized healthcare M&A support to private equity firms, in addition to serving clients in the financial services, insurance, and retail industries. Mr. Kemp regularly works with private equity firms, portfolio companies, and venture-backed companies on investments, recapitalizations and other transactions. He also provides strategic capital structure advice to emerging and growth companies.
Prior to joining Bradley, Mr. Kemp was a partner at Nashville-based firm Bass Berry for nine years and previously served as the corporate practice group leader at a business law firm in Nashville. He is one of only three attorneys in the state recognized in Band 1 of the Chambers USA Tennessee Corporate/M&A section. He was also recognized in The Legal 500 M&A Powerlist: USA Region in 2023 and 2024 and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2010, earning the designation of Nashville Securities Regulation “Lawyer of the Year” in 2023 and the Nashville Securities/Capital Markets Law “Lawyer of the Year” in 2020.
Mr. Kemp earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School and earned his B.S. and B.A. from North Carolina State University. He is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Health Law Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Nashville Capital Network.
