Erin Illman Named Chair of the North Carolina State Bar’s Privacy Specialization Committee

Bradley attorney Erin Illman has been named chair of the North Carolina State Bar’s Privacy and Information Security Law Specialization Committee.

The North Carolina State Bar was the first in the United States to certify specialists in the emerging area of privacy and data security law. This board-certified specialization was created and developed by the Privacy and Information Security Law Specialization Committee and utilizes the IAPP certification to qualify applicants for an exam covering state law as well as the interpretation of federal and international regulations.

Ms. Illman was one of the first 10 professionals to be recognized as a board-certified specialist in privacy and information security law and will now chair the specialization committee. She is an experienced thought leader in privacy, data security, and the integration of technology into business practices, and co-chairs Bradley’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Group and leads the firm’s Fintech team.
