Products Liability Litigation Partner Trey Bourn Joins Bradley’s Jackson Office

Bradley is pleased to announce that Fred E. “Trey” Bourn III has joined the firm’s Jackson office as a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. He was previously with Butler Snow for more than 20 years.

“We are excited to welcome Trey to Bradley; he is well-known for his litigation and trial experience representing clients from a wide range of industries,” said Bradley Jackson Office Managing Partner Margaret Oertling Cupples. “Trey adds trial experience to our Jackson office and broadens our ability to represent product manufacturers and other clients throughout the Southeast.”

Mr. Bourn’s diverse litigation practice is focused on helping clients from the pre-litigation process through trial. He regularly defends product manufacturers in state and federal courts across the country, in cases involving heavy construction equipment, agricultural products, aviation products, pet food, gas pipelines, recreational vehicles, watercraft, medical devices, automobiles, home appliances, and children’s toys. He provides strategic counsel on risk management, including product safety, recalls and compliance matters involving the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.

In addition, Mr. Bourn represents energy companies and project developers in governmental and energy litigation, including multi-state condemnation actions. He represents publicly held and privately owned life sciences companies, such as international pharmaceutical and medical device companies, in matters related to medical research. He served as a key member of a national coordinating counsel team for a medical device manufacturer in state and federal court proceedings spanning 16 states.

Mr. Bourn is a frequent author and speaker on product liability topics, including the Right to Repair Movement. He has been listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2009 and in The Best Lawyers in America®since 2017. Mr. Bourn is an active member of the Defense Research Institute, where he serves as chair of the Products Liability Committee. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, where he serves on the Board of Editors. He earned his J.D. from the University of Mississippi, his M.A. from Mississippi State University, and his B.A. from Baylor University.
