Bradley Adds Bankruptcy Partner Bryan Bates in Atlanta

Bradley is pleased to announce that Bryan E. Bates has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a partner in the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group.

Mr. Bates concentrates his practice on business bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and related commercial litigation. Through thoughtful strategy and a client-focused approach, he helps his clients achieve their goals in all aspects of restructuring matters, both in and out of court. Mr. Bates has significant experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, trustees and other parties-in-interest in Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings, insolvency matters, debtor/creditor and other commercial litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. Bates is a director with the Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute and serves on the board of the Atlanta Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. He has been ranked in Chambers USA since 2020 as a leading practitioner in Georgia for Bankruptcy/Restructuring and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2023. Mr. Bates earned his J.D. from Mercer University School of Law and his B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Bradley’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group is comprised of attorneys with regional and national experience in representing debtors and lenders in Chapter 11 cases, bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy litigation, out-of-court workouts, and restructurings. Attorneys work with clients including major financial firms and organizations as well as numerous regional and local banks and lenders. The team also serves businesses across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, utilities construction, real estate development, automotive manufacturing, and retail.

Mr. Bates is the newest hire in Bradley’s Atlanta office, which has steadily grown since it was established in May 2023 with 20 lawyers. The office now has more than 50 lawyers who represent regional, national and international clients in a broad range of business and litigation matters and who are actively engaged in the local community.
