Bradley Adds Environmental Attorney Katherine Barnes Cohn to Nashville Office

Bradley is pleased to announce that Katherine Barnes Cohn has joined the firm’s Nashville office as counsel in the Environmental Law Practice Group. 

“Katherine’s in-depth experience in key areas of environmental law, including water and waste permitting, adds integral services to our Tennessee environmental team,” said Bradley Nashville Office Managing Partner Lauren B. Jacques. “We are pleased to welcome her to the firm and know that her state agency background and her reputation for a high level of professionalism will allow her to provide instrumental environmental regulatory support across the firm, making her a valuable addition to the team.”

Ms. Barnes Cohn has a wide range of environmental law experience, with a particular focus in water law and solid and hazardous waste law, and she also works with clients on administrative, property and contract law, including brownfield agreements. For more than seven years, she served as senior associate counsel at the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). In this role, she litigated complex and high-profile enforcement cases, permit appeals and other regulatory matters. She also provided strategic advice to key leaders regarding policymaking and research initiatives, including significant and emerging areas of environmental and regulatory interest.

Ms. Barnes Cohn earned her J.D. and her Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law & Graduate School and received her B.A. from Sewanee: The University of the South.
