Bradley Partner Tripp Haston Appointed IADC Representative on Lawyers for Civil Justice Executive Committee

Bradley is pleased to announce that firm partner Tripp Haston has been appointed to serve as the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) representative on the Executive Committee of the Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ) Board of Directors. Mr. Haston will serve as LCJ’s president in 2028, and his board term runs through 2029.

Bradley partner John Parker Sweeney also serves as a LCJ Executive Committee member and is LCJ president-elect for 2027. No other law firm has ever had two attorneys serve on the LCJ Executive Committee and as the organization’s president during the same multi-year cycle.

Based in the firm’s Birmingham office, Mr. Haston is chair of Bradley’s Life Sciences Litigation team and represents a broad spectrum of clients on regional, national and international engagements. He has served numerous clients as national trial and coordinating counsel and as a national team member in individual actions, as well as in mass tort and multidistrict litigation (MDL). His experience has involved matters throughout the United States, as well in Canada, Europe, Asia, and South America. Mr. Haston has been recognized nationally and internationally for his life sciences and products liability practice in numerous leading legal directories, including The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA (nationally ranked for the last 10 years), Benchmark Litigation, and International Who’s Who Legal for Product Liability Defence.

LCJ is a DC-based, non-profit organization comprised of leading corporate entities, law firms and defense attorney organizations founded by the collective leadership and members of the IADC, DRI, and Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. LCJ’s mission is the advancement of common-sense procedural rules reform to further “the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every action and proceeding,” as stated in Rule 1 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP). LCJ played a leading role in recent and critical FRCP amendments concerning class actions, discovery and expert witness rules. LCJ also continues advocacy efforts on important civil justice topics concerning MDL and third-party litigation funding rules reforms.

IADC is the preeminent invitation-only global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests. Mr. Haston is a past president of the IADC, which includes approximately 2,500 attorneys from more than 50 countries around the world.
