Asset management Advise asset managers and owners, often after an asset has been acquired through a foreclosure, on a plan of improvement of a troubled real estate project, often with bringing on a property management team, developing a leasing plan, completing construction of other improvements, with the goal of stabilizing the asset, and then turning around and selling the asset. Dispute resolution Counsel clients in resolution of commercial disputes between joint venture partners who seek a “business divorce” as well as borrowers, guarantors, creditors and contractual counterparties involving default and exercise of remedies that may lead to pursuing or defending claims in the context of mediation, litigation, arbitration, receivership or bankruptcy. Local counsel Issues legal opinions in connection with multistate projects and serves as local Texas counsel for transactions originated outside of Texas secured by real property in Texas. Outside general counsel Provide legal services to banks and private companies to provide custom tailored pricing solutions for outside general counsel needs.
