The announcement of Bradley’s new Atlanta office was featured in the Daily Report. The firm’s first location in Georgia was launched with 20 lateral attorneys, including 13 founding partners, many of whom were leaders from prominent Atlanta firms. The office opened in Midtown’s Promenade Tower off Peachtree Street.
Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Jonathan Skeeters said the firm’s Atlanta attorneys practice in a variety of areas – including healthcare, litigation, real estate, corporate and securities, and labor and employment – “which gives us an immediate advantage starting a with a full-service office.”
The founding partners plan to work together for an undetermined time before deciding who will serve as office managing partner, Skeeters explained.
“We told this group our philosophy is to put together a bit of a ‘dream team’ approach here,” Skeeters said. “Because they were coming from different firms, it was really critically important for that team to gel and be a cultural fit and think about where we go from here.”
The firm plans “to continue to grow the office with lawyers in a variety of practice areas and with clients in industries where we are well known, with the goal to have a fully integrated office comprised of market-leading lawyers interested in providing best-in-class legal services to our clients across the country,” Skeeters said.
Sidney Welch, a former managing partner at Akerman, said that Bradley’s reputation, “coupled with the breadth of talent of the attorneys joining Bradley, offer a unique opportunity to serve clients across the country and the local community.”
“We are all energized to be a part of this team and to extend Bradley’s reputation for excellence into Atlanta with continued strategic growth in the months ahead,” Welch said.
Wayne Hillis, a former managing partner at Parker Hudson, said he believed Bradley is “well positioned to quickly serve as a leading law firm in Atlanta” based on “the firm’s exceptional talent, reputation and favorable geographic footprint.”
“Bringing together this impressive group of attorneys from across the city’s legal community enables us to better serve all our clients while building on the firm’s deep bench strength across key legal practices,” Hillis said.
