Bradley Partner Matthew H. Lembke Appointed Chair of Lawyers Advisory Committee for U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit
Bradley is pleased to announce that Birmingham partner Matthew H. Lembke has been appointed as chair of the Lawyers Advisory Committee for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
The Lawyers Advisory Committee, comprised of 11 lawyers from Alabama, Florida and Georgia, advises the court on various matters of importance to the bar, including proposed revisions to circuit rules and internal operating procedures.
Mr. Lembke has more than 30 years of experience handling high-stakes matters, including high-profile, challenging appeals in both state and federal courts.
A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, Mr. Lembke earned his B.A. from Rhodes College. After graduating law school, he served as a law clerk to Justice Anthony M. Kennedy at the United States Supreme Court before joining Bradley. Mr. Lembke serves as chair of Alabama’s Standing Committee on Rules of Conduct and Canons of Judicial Ethics. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and served as president of that organization in 2019. Additionally, he is a former chair of the American Bar Association’s Council of Appellate Lawyers and is a member of the American Law Institute.
