UPDATE: Telehealth “Cliff” Pushed Back until April 1, 2025
Healthcare Alert
Congress narrowly avoided hurdling off the telehealth “cliff” Bradley previously reported on in this post with the passing of the American Relief Act, 2025 on December 21, 2024. Unfortunately, this bill merely extends the telehealth extensions enacted via the COVID-19 emergency through March 31, 2025, giving telehealth providers and patients temporary relief. Without a longer or permanent extension of the waivers, telehealth cannot be provided to patients in their homes for an expanded list of services.
Once again, given this bill only provides a 90-day extension, providers should continue monitoring any legislative updates on these flexibilities. Bradley will continue to monitor any such developments as well.
Should you have any questions about how this may impact your telehealth practice, please contact Evie Lalangas at elalangas@bradley.com or Elaine Moore at elmoore@bradley.com.
