Lucas Adair* is a senior advisor in Bradley’s Governmental Affairs Practice Group. Lucas has more than a decade of experience in local, state and federal levels of policy and politics. He has built long-term relationships with key administrative officials, Hill staffers, and others, as well as developed successful policies and procedures that have helped clients determine their priorities and achieve their goals.
Prior to joining the firm, Lucas served as director of Government Relations and Grant Services at Keller Partners & Company, where he spearheaded advocacy efforts at the federal level, consistently delivering results through his adept lobbying for federal appropriations and policy changes. His expertise extends beyond direct lobbying, as evidenced by his achievements in writing and lobbying for competitive grants, which have had a significant impact on his clients’ objectives. Lucas’s exceptional skills and adaptability in securing funding across various projects earned him recognition as a 2023 Top Lobbyist by both the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics (NILE) and The Hill. His dedication to client success and unwavering commitment to advocacy make him a valuable asset in navigating the complex landscape of government relations and grant services.
Lucas also served as policy advisor to the U.S. Under Secretary of Education, where he advised on issues related to higher education. In this position, he played an integral role in drafting federal policy rules and regulations, providing strategic advice to inform decision-making, and coordinating with the White House, Capitol Hill, and other federal agencies in furthering administration objectives.
His background also includes working as a policy analyst and advisor for six years at the University of Alabama's Education Policy Center, serving as a grant evaluator for the Alabama State Department of Education, and working on numerous political campaigns throughout the Southeast.
