Jay Hardcastle advises surgery centers, hospitals, hospices, home health agencies, long-term care providers, imaging centers, cancer centers and other participants in the healthcare industry in connection with mergers and acquisitions, alternative payment arrangements, joint venture formation, regulatory issues, and general corporate matters. Jay also focuses on drafting contracts for providers and physicians, advising clients on Medicare and Medicaid issues, providing assistance in the defense of whistleblower claims and advising tax-exempt entities in the healthcare area. Jay was the managing director of Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry PLC at the time of its merger with Bradley Arant Rose & White LLP, which formed Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP. He now serves as chair of the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group. He is also a past chairman of the Tennessee Bar Association Health Law Section and of the Nashville Bar Association Health Law Committee. Jay is a member of the American Health Law Association and serves as co-chair of the planning committee for the annual conference on transactional matters presented by the AHLA. Jay has served on many boards of directors of local non-profits, including the boards of the Nashville Symphony, Friends of Radnor Lake, The Conservancy for Centennial Park and the Parthenon, and Nashville’s Table (now part of Second Harvest Food Bank). He recently retired from his longtime position as chairman of the board of Rooftop Foundation, a non-profit focusing on preventing homelessness among the working poor.
