Angela Holt's practice is centered on intellectual property law, and she assists clients in protecting, maintaining, and defending their valuable IP. Angela represents large and small companies and individuals involved in a wide range of business activities, including manufacturers, software developers, data providers, defense contractors, healthcare providers, restaurants, financial institutions, website developers, and entrepreneurs.

Angela is a former electrical engineer with experience working for a major defense and space contractor before becoming a lawyer. As a registered patent attorney, she has obtained patents for her clients in the fields of:

  • Virtual realty and augmented reality medical imaging, to allow medical providers to visualize in two-dimensional data and in three-dimensional VR/AR images;
  • Medical devices and catheters for performing cardiac procedures;
  • Polarization-based sensors and software for mapping, imaging and facial recognition;
  • Antennas used by public utilities to monitor metering devices;
  • Systems for detecting life by means of CO2 in enclosed volumes such as automobiles;
  • Manufacturing processes and equipment; and
  • Agricultural and lawncare equipment.

Angela has significant experience litigating intellectual property disputes. Her cases have involved patents, copyrights, trademarks, and domain‐names, and she has litigated many inter partes trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She often prepares and prosecutes trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and copyright applications before the U.S. Copyright Office.
