Kevin Mattingly focuses his practice on representing general contractors, subcontractors, developers, homebuilders, and others engaged in the construction and government contracts industries. He represents clients in a broad range of complex litigation and non-litigation matters throughout Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the Greater Mid-Atlantic region.
Kevin has substantial experience in all aspects of complex civil litigation, from initial claims analysis through trial, in state and federal courts and before arbitration panels and administrative agencies, including disputes exceeding $10 million in value. In addition to his frequent practice at the state and federal trial court level, Kevin has co-authored numerous appellate briefs filed in the United States Supreme Court, various United States Courts of Appeal, the Court of Appeals of Maryland, and the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. This extensive experience allows him to achieve favorable and cost-effective resolutions on behalf of his clients.
Kevin also regularly advises clients in non-litigation matters, including general regulatory compliance, employment disputes, insurance coverage matters, bid protests, contract drafting and negotiation, and prosecution of claims in connection with public and private procurements.
