Jennifer McGahey is a litigation partner with extensive experience in complex commercial litigation and labor and employment matters. She represents clients of all sizes – from large Fortune 500 companies to small family-owned businesses and nonprofit organizations – in a variety of industries, including e-commerce, healthcare, retail, and natural resources. Jennifer particularly enjoys partnering with her clients to address creatively and efficiently the many challenges of multifaceted litigation, including preparing and defending witnesses for deposition in multi-forum litigation. In this vein, she currently serves as national counsel for one of the largest chain pharmacies in opioid-related litigation and investigative proceedings throughout the United States.
Jennifer also serves as national counsel for a major facilitator of online travel reservations in lawsuits, audits, and administrative proceedings throughout the country. For this client, Jennifer obtained a significant victory after a two-week trial in New Hampshire state court – only the second case to be tried to judgment in the more than 10-year history of this litigation. In addition to serving as trial counsel in complex matters, she has significant experience collaborating with joint defense groups and leading teams across Bradley’s platform to handle high volume, fast-paced discovery in high-stakes matters.
Jennifer is also active within the firm and in the community. She currently serves on the firm’s Growth and Expansion Committee and is the former chair of the Recruiting Committee. Jennifer also serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Firehouse Shelter, a nonprofit that provides a comprehensive continuum of services to chronically homeless men. She also volunteers her time on pro bono matters, including representing an inmate on Alabama death row for over a decade and assisting victims and survivors of domestic violence obtain restraining orders.

Online Travel Company Hotel Occupancy Tax Litigation Bradley is working with another major national firm in defense of a number of cases and claims filed in various states that seek to hold web-based travel companies responsible for certain lodging taxes. While hotels pay taxes on what is paid to them, the cases generally allege that these online travel companies violate state and local tax codes by failing to collect and remit additional occupancy taxes on the margin and service fees that are paid to and retained by the online travel companies for their services.
