DentaQuest of Tennessee, LLC, United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee Successfully represented a managed care organization in claim brought by a dental practice not admitted into the MCO’s provider network. This was the third lawsuit filed by the provider in an ongoing business dispute. After trial, the trial court entered judgment for the firm’s client, which was upheld on appeal by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Represents a major hospital system owner in claims against various healthcare insurers resulting in significant recovery. Advises healthcare providers on managed care negotiations. Represents a national correctional healthcare provider in a variety of commercial disputes, including trade secret and technology claims. Represents healthcare providers undergoing government investigations, including those conducted by the Department of Health and Human Services, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and other governmental agencies. Has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation that affect healthcare clients, including healthcare technology, whistleblower/qui tam, EHR, HIPAA/HITECH, payor disputes, anti-kickback violations, overpayment claims by Medicare/Tenncare, corporate disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition. Served on the governing board of a federally qualified healthcare center for six years (two years as vice chair).
