John Perry’s practice is primarily focused on healthcare mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, with a particular focus on ambulatory surgery centers, surgical hospitals, urgent care clinics, behavioral health facilities, diagnostic imaging facilities, and radiation therapy facilities. John also regularly advises clients participating in governmental and commercial alternative payment model arrangements and value-based care initiatives. He helps his clients accomplish their business goals while navigating the fraud and abuse and other regulatory issues unique to healthcare transactions.
With a strong background of representing healthcare providers in operational matters, John’s experience includes a wide variety of arrangements between health systems and physicians, including professional services, employment, recruitment, call coverage, clinical co-management, medical directors, telemedicine agreements, and other vendor/supplier agreements. He has also counseled healthcare systems regarding corporate and medical staff governance, credentialing and peer review, licensing and accreditation, reimbursement, and related compliance matters. Early in his career, John represented a broad range of providers in medical malpractice and licensure matters.
His varied interactions with healthcare bankers and investors, members of boards of directors, physician and non-physician executives, and front-line nurses and their managers have provided him with a broad understanding of the healthcare industry and the challenges faced at every level.
