Timia Skelton is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. Her practice focuses on employment-related matters including advising clients on protected leave and workplace accommodation issues and drafting employment-related agreements and policies. She also assists clients in navigating performance management issues and disciplinary actions regarding policy violations or other workplace misconduct. In addition, Timia has experience responding to charges filed with government agencies and conducting workplace investigations pertaining to employee claims of discrimination and retaliation.

Timia has also defended clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including product liability, premises liability and insurance coverage.

Timia earned her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law (cum laude), where she served as a notes editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. She also worked in the Sexual Victims Unit of Georgia’s Western Judicial Circuit while participating in the Prosecutorial Justice Clinic during law school and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Sara Doyle of the Georgia Court of Appeals. Timia received her B.A. in Business Economics (summa cum laude) from Georgia State University.
