Donald was an adjunct professor of law at Cumberland Law School. He authored Education Law: A Legal Reference; was selected as "Lawyer of the Year" for Birmingham; and served as president of the Rotary Club of Birmingham and the Country Club of Birmingham. Donald served as a law clerk to the Hon. Walter P. Gewin on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
