Leanne Thoreson has extensive experience counseling companies on employment issues. She also is experienced in employment and commercial litigation matters.
Leanne counsels companies on sensitive employment matters and defends employers against claims of discrimination and harassment based on sex, race, disability, religion, age, national origin, and other protected categories; wrongful discharge; breach of contract; breach of covenants not to compete; misappropriation of trade secrets; and retaliation. She helps companies respond effectively to charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and related state agencies. She is experienced in state and federal wage and hour issues, FMLA, and state and local sick leave laws. Leanne has extensive experience developing policies and procedures for employers in order to best protect her clients’ interests.
