Represented Pure Fishing, Inc. in patent infringement litigation. Bradley was lead counsel for Pure Fishing in pending litigation involving oscillate mechanisms in spinning fishing reels filed by Globeride, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. We also managed parallel proceedings in Japan. The case was successfully settled in favor of the defendants.
Lifetime Products v. Russell Brands
Defended Russell Brands, a worldwide leader in the sporting goods industry, in complex patent infringement litigation pending in U.S. District Court for the District of Utah. The case was filed by competitor Lifetime Products over a family of patents directed to basketball backboard systems, including extensive related administrative reexamination proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Matters litigated included questions of patent validity, infringement, and unenforceability due to inequitable conduct during prosecution and reexamination of the plaintiff’s patents. The case was successfully settled, dismissing all claims against our client.
