Shannon Drake is a member of Bradley’s Healthcare and Real Estate practice groups with two decades of experience representing public and private clients in the healthcare and real estate industries. Shannon has significant experience with the regulatory, transactional and operational needs of post-acute healthcare providers, including home health, hospice, private duty nursing, personal care, skilled nursing, and assisted living community operators.

In addition to significant transactional work, Shannon has extensive experience advising healthcare clients on a variety of operational and regulatory matters, including compliance with federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws, reimbursement, certificate of need, licensing and provider enrollment issues. He has handled False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, healthcare fraud, antitrust, and cybersecurity matters, as well as numerous escrow matters arising post transaction.

Prior to joining Bradley, Shannon served as chief legal officer and corporate secretary of Aveanna Healthcare, an Atlanta-based, publicly traded private duty nursing and home health/hospice provider with $2 billion in revenue and operations throughout the country. Prior to Aveanna, Shannon was senior vice president and division counsel for Kindred Healthcare and Gentiva Health Services, both national, publicly traded home health and hospice companies. He also served as assistant general counsel for a multi-state skilled nursing facility and assisted living operator. His extensive in-house, operational experience enables him to provide clients with simple, practical advice that addresses their pressing transactional, regulatory and compliance needs.
